Illustrated portraits for Conversations with Friends

To celebrate and promote the TV adaptation of Sally Rooney's Conversations With Friends, I was one of 5 Australian artists commissioned to create a poster-style illustration that takes inspiration from the many iterations of the book cover.

For my piece, I wanted to explore the relationship between the two main characters who are best friends. As new people enter their lives the dynamic of their friendship changes, so I've tried to portray them here as physically close but emotionally distant.
