The follow up to Chai Time at Cinnamon Gardens is an epic family saga set over three continents and three generations, against a backdrop of increasing civil war in Ceylon/Sri Lanka.

I aimed to create a cover that felt like part of the same family as Chai Time, while still retaining its own personality and flavour. This is a heavy book, but is also filled with joyful moments and beautiful storytelling, so I paired bright colours like pink and orange with darker imagery like the burning of the Jaffna Library.
