I love drawing the ocean, so when this brief popped up I jumped at the chance! This YA debut revolves around three friends in a small coastal town who are dealing with both personal and environmental crises. To convey a sense of urgency and drama, I illustrated a turbulent, painterly seascape and completed the look with some angsty, scrawly handwriting.
